21st Ion Beam Analysis

International conference on the 21st ion beam analysis (IBA) conference will be held at the Marriott Waterfront in Seattle on June 23-28, 2013.
The International Conference on Ion Beam Analysis is a forum where scientists and students from all over the world discuss the recent advances and future prospects in ion beam analysis. Traditionally this international forum brings together physicists, material scientists, accelerator and ion beam specialists and those who are interested in the analysis of any material using ion beams.

Topics will include, but are not limited to:
  • Fundamentals of ion-solid interactions (Fundamentals of IBA)
    • Stopping forces
    • Cross sections
    • Modification and damage of materials by ions
    • ion induced luminescence
  • Experimental developments and novel IBA techniques
  • Applications of IBA
    • Materials science
    • Environmental science
    • Art and archaeometry
    • Geophysics: Earth and planetary sciences
    • Biology and medicine
  • Helium Ion Microscopy
  • New Developments in SIMS
  • Micro and nano probes
  • Accelerator Mass Spectrometry
  • Computer simulations and analysis
  • Complementary use of IBA and other techniques of analysis
  • Facilities/Instrumentation
